Both Dr. Gina and Dr. Sadie are certified chiropractic acupuncturists. During your chiropractic treatments, your doctor will monitor your progress continuously. Depending on your progress and health goals, your doctor may recommend that you incorporate acupuncture into your treatment plan.
Acupuncture originates from Eastern Medicine and is among one of the oldest healing practices in the world. It is based on the theory that energy, called chi, flows through your body along specific pathways called meridians. Acupuncturists believe that pain and illness can occur when chi energy stagnates and does not flow freely through the meridians. Acupuncture unblocks this stagnation and influences chi to flow back into balance. Treatment is done by inserting very fine, disposable needles into specific acupuncture points along the meridians. The patient remains lying down with the needles inserted for the next 15-20 minutes. Some patients fall asleep during their treatment and feel a lasting reduction in stress for days after. Other patients feel rejuvenated and a rush of energy throughout their body. The goal of acupuncture is to restore balance in the body.
